Claims Handler (Motor)

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Claims Handler to join a professional and friendly team within an expanding insurance company. You will be responsible for servicing the needs of the existing clients whilst assisting with the growth of the portfolio in a compliant and professional customer manner. Day to day responsibilities will include the following: · The provision of a first class customer service · Investigating, assessing and evaluating claims within authority levels to prevent fraud and appointing suppliers and experts as required. · Assessing the validity of the claims and agreeing a plan of action. · Making decisions on policy liability and initiating and co-ordinating investigations onto legal liability. · Compliance with all regulatory and internal systems controls · The recording and reporting of appropriate workflow data to ensure accurate MI The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a commitment to the importance of good customer care coupled with first class written and verbal communication skills. Equally, good organizational skills and the ability to meet challenging deadlines and service standards. Ideally you will have had several years experience within a motor claims environment.
